Fillings

The tradition of favours dates back to Roman times, sugared almonds, a great delicacy, were given at important banquets and weddings.  A sugared almond would be given between each course, similar to sorbet nowadays.  The Italians were to expand the use of the almonds by giving five almonds tied in little lace bags.

The five almonds represent five wishes of health, wealth, long life, fertility and happiness from the bride to her guests.

Lots of other fillings can now be put in favours - all prices given include five sugared almonds or eight -  ten mint imperials.  Gold and silver foil covered chocolate hearts are available - please add 11p for each chocolate required.  Have a look at our favour fillings page to see what is available, please do not hesitate to ask for a free quote for your favourite sweet or chocolate filing.  We charge you what our supplier charges us.

Due to lack of space to show all my favour examples, can I suggest you email me with your ideas and colour scheme and I can send you more pictures via email.
